Loop Stitching

If you want to collate a set of books into a ring binder, there are two ways to do it. One, drill 2 or 3 holes on the book according to your binder and insert. The second one is loop stitching.
Drilling holes looks like a simple process. But it may destroy some wordings or pictures in the book which are too close to the spine. Also, when people look at the book, the book cannot be open flat and it is hard to turn the pages. People usually have to get the book out from the spine in order to read the book properly.
On the other hand, there is a loop stitching. It is a lesser know and less popular binding. However, it is very convenient to put the books into a ring binder as this binding is designed for this one single purpose. The binding process is exactly the same as saddle stitching. One the stitching head is needed to be changed. Thus, it shares the same inexpensive cost as saddle stitching. |
